Default Pineapple Sparkle....yuck!

I bought some pineapple sparkle, because I thought I should like it. I'm not a big fan of yellow, love ochre, creams, acid yellow green, but just plain sunny, lemon does nothing for me. I've tried to like it, even made a couple of beads with it, but I'm not feeling the love.

Will someone please show me some beads you've made with this colour to convince me to try again?

Pineapple sparkle is a really, really ugly color. You should send all that you have to me.

Seriously, send it to me.

Ok. There was a thread here a couple of days ago that was all about PS and there were some great tips and I think some beads.

Found it. There were only two pictures though, I too visual to be able to get anything from a description, I need to see it.

Some people are like a Slinky... not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs.

Everyones beads are great, Lee, I'm liking it more etched. I think I'm just not a yellow person. Are there any reactions with this glass? (especially ones to make it change colour)

Hmmm as a base for enamels, that's a great idea!

I used it ontop of white for flower petals. It definitely needs an opaque underneath it.

Ellen those are lovely. That grey base makes the yellow look so sophisticated.

I'm with Carolyn....finally I see a color (transparent gray) that works with that nasty PS - I may give it 1 more shot before it gets the heave ho!

Thanks.

But I think that the base of the beads is clear on some of them and light blue on some of the others. The grey may be the background coming up through the transparent glass of the clear.

I like it on white as a flower too. It makes pretty sunflower like florals on a base of transparant dark brown.

I think pineapple sparkle looks great with tangerine (with sparkle) and parrot green which also has a bit of pearly look to it. It is a very tropical look.
have fun with it!

Carolyn, the PS in these beads turned a golden, either because it's layered over coral or maybe reacting to the Nyx raised dots.

I'd say it's the silver in the Nyx. If you silver dark yellow it turns caramel. Pretty!

Oh, I forgot. I also use it to encase (orange, yellow, whatever)stringer for poking flower centers.
