Default Am I holding my beads at the wrong temp?

I have been holding my beads at 970 for six hours and then going into the annealing cycle. I've read several times lately that 104 should be held at 940. Am I harming my beads in some way? I don't get cracking or distortion or sticking but I'm going to start using more silvered glass and want to be sure I don't mess it up before I even start. Should I lower my holding temp? My bead door does not close completly at the bottom so I suspect my temp is actually a bit lower than it reads. I use a paragon sentry with a bead door.
Any help will be appreciated.
Mary

just make sure when using silver colors that you don't over strike them by annealing to high for too long. i still make this mistake sometimes. whoopps
