Smile How do you plunge and twist with a rose cane?

This may not be the right way to say it. I was trying to make a rose with the petals curl up and look like a rose. I melted 4 dots, put 4 more dots down and plunged with a rose cane I made( white with puple stripes and pulled a stringer). When I plunged and twisted with the rose cane I got a goey mess. How should you plunge and twist with a rose cane. Help>

It's been a while, but..... If I recall correctly heat the center of your dots, remove the bead from the flame, shove the stringer into the middle of the dots twist and break it off (OK so sometimes blowing on that puppy helps). Them melt it all in SLOWLY.

Caution: It's been donkey years since I've done this. But if your torch is on and no one else answers quickly, it's worth a try!

That's how I do it...And I always have to blow on it to get it to break off
