Default The "Angel Effect" BASE+Dots and Stringer="halos"

Many of us have experienced those wonderful moments when we are working or when we take a bead from the kiln, and notice that in the exact spot where two colors of glass touch, a beautiful "halo" is created.

It's such an attractive design enhancement that I started calling it the "angel effect." Some glass just sings when it is layered or touches another. I thought it might be great to share our discoveries with each other.

What combinations create your favorite "angel effects?"

I will compile the thread responses into a table as the suggestions accumulate and post it here (if someone doesn't beat me to it ). And, just so there's no confusion, it might help if you list your colors like this:

BASE COLOR:
DOTS/STRINGER COLOR:
HALO DESCRIPTION:

This is my go to resource for glass reactions like the angel effect. If you scroll to the bottom, on the right she has everything organized by effect.

I think this is a great idea thread! I know Melanie does ALOT of glass testing but so many of the base colors she tests are limited run and ones I'll never have on hand. I'd love to see more reaction notes using plain ol' every day glass. Just sayin'.

Love the term "Angel Effect!" GT Black Nebula or Precision 104 Black Pearl (they are very similar) on pretty much anything. It creates two halos... double angel effect?

This is on Opal Yellow (with Double Helix [green] Opaque Luster Test Batch TH473):
