It looks to me like the cream might have been put into a slightly reducing flame... do I see some metallic finish on it??? Shari Barry, Maya Designs

To me, the cream ones with the red dots look like SIlver Strike 5/Butterscotch with Elvis or Ruby dots. I don't really have any doubts as I've used that color combo before.
Silver Strike 5 is usually a cream color, and I see that metallic reduction all the time - especially in between raised dots that you are melting in.

Here are a couple of hearts using some of Karen's frit which she sent me as a RAOGK. Thanks Karen! Did I strike them correctly?

The one on the left is "Vampire Kiss" and the other one is "Blue Mojo."

Is there a little disco peeking around the edge on the blue mojo heart?

Yep Baylie, you spotted it. The "blue mojo" frit is backed in the center with DAP and an outer rim of the disco remix.

Default boro firsts

Good morning all,
I have always loved the look of boro beads but have never made any...until a couple of days ago. Armed with a some clear, the mini sampler I got with my Mini CC, and a container of frit from Paula at the venerable bead, I sat down and played. Not sure what I was doing, but I just played. Feel free to critique, all feedback welcome, especially how to get the encasing closer to the bead hole.
Thanks,
Kim V

Kim, more clear on top will get you better spread.

Thanks, Mr. S. I had tried adding more clear to some when I made these but decided that no one should be subjected to such ugliness I tried again tonight and tomorrow morning will tell if I was more successful.
