Concepts in Solid and Hollow Flameworking

Jason Morrissey & Scott Rosinski
Price: $650 ($700 after April 15)

Since 1998, Jason Morrissey has worked for the Maine College of Art continuing studies program and in private studios instructing glass and metal classes. After three years of experimenting with lampworked glass, Scott Rosinski became the resident artist at Maine’s Royal River Art + Glass. This class will begin with a collaborative assembly followed by a discussion about design and techniques. From there we will determine what the group wants to focus on. The class will revolve on the gathered concepts and ideas of the group. Topics that will be covered include design solutions involving scale, color, and texture. Plus, students will experience production material preparation involving both hollow and solid form techniques.

Level: Intermediate
