Ron Richards is listed as the police chief of Webb City. There is no one listed for Sarcoxie. The news article in one of the first posts said the chief has just changed. Also Ron Smith is not shown as the chief. The chief is Brent Curran. The same last name as the person that bought the tutorials, Cheryl Curran.

How do you find a buyer by name in Etsy. I saw that the buyers name was listed earlier in this thread but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get to that person in Etsy.

I suggest calling your local Bar Association. They have a (brief) free legal consult, and a list of referring attorneys that you can then buy a consultation if it goes that far. Sometimes that 'brief' free advise will at least point you further on to find answers.

please be careful connecting things that may have no connections. It doesn't help. Ron Smith is not a particularly unique name. Neither the Ronald or the Ron Smith off the Curran's facebook pages linked to this guy-which seems really odd to me, if they were connected. Everyone I know who even works at a restaurant, let alone runs one, links to it EVERYWHERE.

Also, none of the three are fans of the restaurant as far as I could see off the fan list. I may have missed them, but doubt that I'd have missed two names (Cheryl and Ron) were they both on there.

Drawing connections based on speculation doesn't help. And it would really suck to hurt this restaurant if there is no connection other than the very common name "Ron Smith".

I got hit, also by this jerk. I am sure they are attempting lampworking as they ordered an optic mold from me. Has anyone gone on the "dark" forums in regards to this? I notified Paypal about the activity and also thanks for the email addresses of the sheriff's depts. I notified them also. Enough complaints should generate some sort of investigation. I am so sorry for JameLynn... wow that hurts!! If I can help you in any way, let me know.

The restaurant has nothing to do with this at all. The person who owns that restaurant has a completely different name. The person who IS involved, based on the yahoo id provided to Paypal is the person captnron03@yahoo.com.

Wow this has turned into a bit of a "witch hunt" or warlock. I think the system admin should remove the reference to the restaurant, lest they be held accountable for a defamation of character suit. I can understand that people are upset that they lost capital, but seriously I don't think making these kind of accusations is healthy! Just my 2 cents sorry if I've offended anyone. Blessed be

I have been bounced from recorded message to recorded message to recorded message. And if you try to press 0, there is no operator, it actually tells you that there is no operator!!!!!

You may be having a problem today because first it is a Saturday so most of the county employees other than emergency personnel would not be at work and second I think they had bad weather in that area yesterday.

Nobody has defamed the restaurant or the owner. Speculating about ownership is not defamation. "I think he owns" is not the same as "the person who owns that restaurant it a thief."

Ok, here is the scoop. The ball is rolling.

I have spoken with a detective in Jasper County who has enough information to start doing some leg work tonight.

He will be talking with an internet crimes detective Monday. The internet crimes person that this is assigned to (there is more then one of them there) will call me and give me the contact information for the detective that is assigned this case for all the rest of you to contact him to join on in this case.

I felt quite relieved after speaking with him as they take this sort of crime very, very seriously.

Thank you Deb for being able to find a phone number that worked on a Saturday!

They bought on the 16th of Jan. And cancelled or reversed the payment on the 29th. Yes, they received it. I notified the "tips" email adress. The dark forum is the boro forum... but if they have been getting softglass tuts... they probably don't hang out on GLDG

Not in my wildest dreams did I think this would be wrapped up just 24 hours after this exploded here on LE.

Here is the lowdown of what went down.

After I spoke with the police detective, he took a drive over to Cheryl's house.

The detective called me back about 1/2 hour ago. This is what he let me know.

After speaking with Cheryl for a short amount of time, confessions were made.

Ronald Smith has no knowledge of any of this as far as the police officer knows. He may or may not be a victim as well.

All our items that were in visable site were confiscated and is now in the possession of the police and will be locked up for now as evidence.

You will get your items back at some point in time, but no idea when.

The officer is going to recommend the charges to be stealing and it is up to the D.A. as to what level the charges will be at.

I have the name of the assigned officer now, but will not give that out until that officer contacts me sometime next week. The reason is, he will likely be contacting quite a few of you on his own since he has lots of packages with their invoices with your contact information on them. He is already aware of the case because the officer I spoke with has already contacted him to tell him what was going on.

I think that's it.

i dont think its meant to be insulting, its kind of an inside joke that if you start out with soft glass and move on to boro you've "gone over to the dark side". i think i could confidently say that NOBODY here thinks negatively of boro, most of us are envious we dont have torches hot enough to play with it (i know i am)
