I LOVE seeing everyone's spaces! I am in the midst of setting up my new studio after a move. It is getting there. The room is absolutely fantastic - brick and barnboard. It has a fireplace and a little bar off of it too. I can't wait to get it up and running! It's big so I can have my metal studio in the same room as my glass and beading stuff. I will be sharing pics for sure.

You don't seem to share my fear that anything anywhere in front of the torch that is flammable will burn, Lori. I assume that whole shelving unit does not go up in flames every time you light the torch. Intriguing. I may be rethinking my bench a bit!

There are some scorchy bits. I have my torch angled upwards, hard to see from the photograph. For beads, it's perfect. The scorch marks are from when I was making murrini and before I positioned the torch at a steeper angle. I love having all that storage in front of me. It makes things easy to see and reach. I do shut flame off before I do any reaching, though.

That's a pretty awesome studio, Nevada. Great space. Looks like stained glass and fusing in there too? Nice!

Mesnik do you have your propane bottle in the house? I think I see the gauge for it in a few of the pics. That is a big safety no no. You never want propane in there with you, it's just not safe. I have heard of more than one really big disaster caused by that. Just yesterday I had trouble with a propane tank that was leaking, no really big deal because I have a hole in the wall that my line goes through to the tank that sits outside my building in a big plastic storage bin thingy. If it had started to leak inside while I had my flame running it would have been a much bigger deal for sure. Propane should never be in there with you. It's just not safe.

May I,

The propane is outside, hard plumbed in all the way.

I have a 10 psi regulator outside art the tank and a normal regulator by the torch.

; )

Thanks for checking up on me!

Here is mine - currently lonely and unused due to unrelenting life and work schedule

Propane is under the bench, but this is in a shed in the back yard.

To tell the truth, the walls look very pale pink on my monitor, and I love the purple cabinets. That's my very favorite shrub for just that color.

This is a kind of panorama of my studio, where I do stained glass, fusing and lampwork. The big fusing kiln and all my sheet glass is in a small room behind the grinders and saws. My rod storage is now totally full. I use gutter downspouts cut to length. The fusing room has a 6' garage door that I leave open, along with the door separating the two rooms, for make up air. My propane bottle is hard plumbed in and is under a covered shed type roof behind my studio. I've moved my bead kiln to the elevated area above the concentrator, so that my table is clear for stained glass projects.

These are from when I first set the studio up - don't have my big kid torch yet, don't even have propane plumbed for the hothead yet. Now the kiln cart sits behind me, the hothead is all the way to the right, and the MiniCC sits over next to the glass storage. But I haven't taken recent pictures.
