Default hothead torch changing the color of the glass

I have a hothead torch but when I work with it it changes a few of my colors and they all look gray. is there anyway to control it better or this is how it will be?

You have the torch turned up too hot/high.

After you light it turn it down until the cone of flame is blue rather than turquoise.

You can adjust it up a little higher if you wish, but the more you turn it up the more you are going to soot up/reduce your glass colours.
