Default Tornado bead

Okay that is the best I can describe it. I am looking for a TUT on a spiral or swirl in a bead. Not a round bead, probably a barrel. Looks like a swirling tornado. I have seen it awhile ago and can't find it now. Any help would be great.

is it the one where you make a barrel, wrap clear around it in a spiral melt it in and then encase. makes soert of a sharp edged cork screw spiral inside the bead?

Rob,
I think thats it. Can't find any pictures of beads. But that sounds about right.
Thank you so much. I remembered the spiral but forgot to encase. Must go play tomorrow.

It was cool to see an explanation of that- I actually managed to figure it out on my own, but there were some good tips there.

I am so glad that Deanne found this post for me I was stuck until I found MZ's tut. I have to try it tonight. I am so embarrassed on how I thought they were done I won't even go into that but I am glad I was directed here so I will post the pics here and in my post when they are done. Does anyone have any suggestions for BE colors to use?
Many Thanks,
Michelle,

Wow. Okay - so I just made some of these (without knowing about this tutorial - but someone told me there was one here).

Apparently, I did it the hard way. I was working on a Jim Smirnich Apple core bead one day and decided to put two rows of disks and melt them in. More recently, I thought about putting more than two rows of discs and came up with what I considered to be a fossil or spinal bead. This is so much easier... will have to try this version.

Thanks for posting the tut link!

(So much for having any inkling of an original thought too) LOL

Ah! Thank you for the reminder to put this back up! The original tutorial was lost when I upgraded my website a while back, but one of these days I'll put it back on my website...

Glad to see its still being used!

Hi everyone,

I just revamped and reposted the 'twisty' tutorial to my website. It's free, and there's a printable copy that you can download.

http://mzglass.com/tutorials

Enjoy!!!
