puffy heart press
Hi there,
What press would you suggest for a small really puffy heart press?
Please.
I had a press that I sold off in the garage sale ( bought it there too)
because it was just too big a heart And it was kind of flat. I want nice consistent Puffy hearts for a project.
Any thoughts ?
Thanks
Sandra

You can easily make them yourself if you don't find a press you like.

I've been nagging Amy at Zoozii for a year now. She got the rights to the press that the lady in Spain used to make, and it hasn't filtered to the front of the pile yet. Arghh.

I'm with Lorraine, here.
Having just worked out how to do my own puffy hearts in all sizes, it's pretty easy
If you wanna know, just ask

I have that Bavarian press, and I love it. Don't know if it is as puffy as you want though.

Maybe a tong press would be better for very small ones, too?

I have two different ones in the garage. I'd have to go find them and see if they have a name on them or not.

Amy, that would be great, may a pic of your bead with them for puffyness.
I have been giving independant BOCs to the Childrens Hosp in Aruora ( I know , a not encouraged thing to do ) but I develped a strong relationship with a few people in the radiation dept there a few years ago and they always get first request for a special case from me.

Well I remembered it wrong, it's not puffy. It's just a really cute heart shape but flat. No name on the press either.

I saw one that seemed small and puffy from someone in the netherlands. She had quite a variety of heart presses. I'll do some googling and see if I can come up with the site.

Ok, no hard to find. The site is bead press.nl, and the small one is called lush hearts. I'm tempted myself!

The Hearts n grooves press from Spain makes the most beautiful littles hearts, vertical and horizontal, they are very sought after. I was fortunate enough to get one when the last lot went for sale May 2010, I don't think they've been on sale since then. Janet

I made these over the weekend with the Puffy Heart Trio (vertical) from www.beadpress.nl. These were made with the medium size heart.

I really like this press. I took the photo with my photo so it doesn't really show how puffy the heart is. These were also the first beads I made with the press and was more interested in how much glass to use and how to get it into the press correctly.
I was so happy with the black one I ended up adding the flower decoration.
