Thumbs up

As the man who jumped off the Empire State Building was heard to say as he passed the 57th floor...... So far, so good.......

How many cubic feet of oxygen do you calculate is in tank when at 80 psi....

How big is the tank? The math is pretty simple.

20 gallon tank again I wussed out on getting the 60 gallon tank not only for the explosive issue but the cleaning issue

Whats the formula by the way?

Took about 30 minutes with one EX15 connected to fill it.

Looks to be about 14.56 cubic feet of oxygen if I did my math correctly.

or 412.30 liters of oxygen available.

A full blast Phantom uses about 20 liters per minute so roughly a 20 minute reserve without the 15 or so liters per minute going into the tank with the 2 concentrators running. So an easy 2 hour full blast which I very rarely do. Usually a minute or two at inner and outer flame then back to the Lynx flame.

Wow! This is awesome. When do you think you might start selling this? (-:
Do you think it is capable of running a Mirage, and if so how long at full blast.
Would it need a bigger holding tank? This thread is really helpful, thanks for sharing.

Mirage is about 25 lpm so not much different maybe 17 mins of reserve and still probably 2 hours at nearly full blast.

Phantom uses 16.5 lpm
Mirage uses 25.9 lpm
Assuming you can put out 15 lpm 02 from the generators and that below 25psi your performance will begin to drop I guess-timate about 40 minutes of full on Mirage power.
I think I would ad a third generator and larger compressor if I wanted to run the Mirage.
I have a similar system and can run the heck out of my Phantom or Barracuda for 2 hours.
The only thing I miss is the purity. There is nothing quite like Liquid!!

I do have a Barracuda and a Hellcat. This system sounds perfect for them. With the research I have been doing, it looks like I will end up running my inner flame with 2 concentrators and the outer flame with tanked on my Mirage. Thanks for all the info guys, it really helps.

You should compress the oxygen and run both concentrators into the compressor and then use the resulting oxygen to run inner and outer flame. Just ran mine today for first time and it was so awesome

Are you using an oil-less compressor?

Thanks for the info!

But I wouldn't be too concerned about the 80 psi, we've filled scuba tanks for years and we handled O2 at 3000 psi and made our own compressed air to over over the same pressure. Now you do have to follow safety procedures and watch what you are doing, but if you do those things and the equipment is maintained correctly, you not really in any more danger than having a G bottle O2 tank around.

So if your components are rated 200 psiworking pressure and you were careful assembling everything , then you're adding another 25-35% safety factor at 125-150 psi. This being the case you can double the amount of O2 you are storing and still be very safe.

I don't think was a pressure issue alone that was causing so much caution....It was pressurized OXYGEN and the possibility of OIL in tank, plumbing parts, and pump, that could or may have caused a 'explosive event' not merely a tank or line burst from pressure (but equally devastating).....

The low pressure and a very strict cleaning of the tank is very important. I made a 2" marble last night and the the pressure barely dropped in an hour of running my phantom full bore. It is amazing after getting the second EX-15 online how well the system has preformed.
