This great class will focus on stringer control and design to create intricate patterns on beads. Holly will demonstrate how to manipulate fine stringers, her process of modular development of pattern in her beads and the use of surface design elements in her work. Discussion will include: methods that aid the promotion of individuality in glass work by taking technique and design beyond one’s usual boundaries and towards a more personal style; the properties of glass as it relates to making highly detailed patterns; and elements such as rhythmic pattern, negative and positive space, color, scale and proportion, texture, and bead shape in relation to the design of modular pattern development. This Workshop promises to be a fun and highly informative class for any intermediate beadmaker!
