Default E Book - anyone have info on how to do one??

My husband and I are wanting to take a book that his mom published about window treatments and do an EBook with it.

Anyone have any information they would be willing to share on how to get started, importing the documents, software....

Thanks

Thanks Dale, we will check them out.

Well, you can make your book via Microsoft Word and then "save as" PDF. You can sell your ebook as PDF or use a free converter like Calibre to convert the PDF into epub, mobi, etc.

If you're using Calibre to convert from one format to another, it's much better to convert from .rtf (Rich Text) to the new format than to do it from PDF. Word can save as .rtf. Converting a PDF into something else can leave you with a pile of formatting problems and a big filesize.

Thank you all so much for the information.

The problem we are having is there are a lot of pictures and the book is about 1000 pages. We have it broken down into 3 different books.
