Black Nebula
Anyone have any tips for this glass? I haven't been able to find any info on this glass and would appreciate any help. Thanks!

It's made by G. T. Glassworks, and not many vendors are selling it. There are four colours that I am aware of: Black Nebula, Light Mountain Honey, Green Envy and Blue Angel. Artistry in Glass has both the rods and the frit for sale ( http://www.artistryinglass.on.ca/sto...e_1_c_440.html)
They are all reduction colours, so I'd treat them similarly to how I'd treat Psyche or Triton.
I have only used Black Nebula, and I found it very easy to reduce. I didn't try to encase any, so I'm not sure how it holds up to that.

Thanks - I did check their website, but there are no working notes. I have a few rods of Green Envy and Blue Angel, too. I'll try treating it like Psyche, as you suggest.

I really get nice results using black nebula frit over clio and then lightly reducing and encasing...it does nice things as frit.

Ooh Adam, yummy! For some reason the color reminds me of a close-up of a butterfly wing.
Thanks Vivian!

Ask Kevan about Black Nebula. She works well with it. Infact I saw one of her Goddess beads out of Black Nebula which caused me to purchase some of it.

There's really nothing to getting it to reduce. Just work it normally in the flame and when you're done, turn up the propane just a bit and flash it a few times. If you want the blues, then after you reduce it and get the shine, encase it in clear. That's when the blues come out.
