Default Watercolor Florals Tut Please

I just love the look. I know the base has frit or what looks like a veiled ( wispy ) glass, but how are the semi transluscent flowers done.

Anyone ???

Hi.. this is the only watercolor tutorial link I have. Give it a try and maybe you can take off from this one...

I don't think it's what you are looking for, but it can inspire you to work it out maybe.

No tut, but roll your rod in enamel and pull stringers. Use the enameled stringers to make your flowers and they will have the water color look.

Cyndi,

You could try any of the opaque pinks with the Orchid enamel. That's great for pink flowers. Add some flesh with the orchid for another color......

There are beautiful blues, a purple, and a few greens. You really need to play around with it. Order a sample pack and that way you could try all the colors.

Any color will work. Play around and experiment. www.thompsonenamel.com has the complete color set for $26.50.

Something to look forward to...

I donated a Watercolor floral tutorial to the LE tutorial booklet so I won't post it here. Hopefully it will be out soon

Not the greatest picture, but you get the idea.

Your watercolors are fabulous...as always! Can't wait for the LE Tut book...think I sent the Drawer Pull "how to"...but I have a question....are your watercolors using enamels? If so, I want to order a sample pack and have them ready!

Hi Lynn, oops, sorry I don't check in here all that often. Yes, you will need enamels. I'm not sure where you get them but I know I've read around here somewhere that you can buy a sample pack of all the colors for around $26.00.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments, I'm looking forward to the tutorial booklet too!

Teresa beautiful watercolor beads! One of these days I have got to try these watercolor florals done with the enamels. I have gotten simular petals done with encased mixed (not blended) colors.

Dots of transparent melted on top of opaque flower petals really help with the watercolor look--especially when the beads are etched.
