Default Pressed leaves, with or without a press???

I saw a beautiful lampwork necklace with leaf spacers. I would love to make leaves but have no clue on how to do this! Do you need a press or can you shape them directly at the torch??? Any advise?

Here are links to three different ways of making leaves.

http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=212400 leaves with mashers

http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=283526 leaves on the end of a silver wire

http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=254492 finally, a tutorial by Mary/Moth about making leaves on the end of a glass rod.

This should give you plenty to go on!
