Default Purple Cream Soda - GA Revolution 33

Any sugestions on this color? - I have kiln struck it, flame struck it and I just do not get a purple color at all
The rods look tsp pink and they have a yellowish tinge to them also

When I strike this I get yellows, orange, and a little yellowy pink.

I was expecting a purple color like the ebay photo 120370974364

anyone get purple?

Try layering PCS over another color such as DAP. These beads are a base color of DAP, a layer of PCS, rolled in DAP frit and encased. Kiln struck.

These are the same without the frit

I've made vessels using PCS and I've found that a prolonged working of the color resulted in a light creme. Blech! (snot colored)

Beautiful beads Renee! I must be overworking it because I've never gotten even a hint of purple, just kind of yellow-pink-creme. And lots of bubbles, almost like a seeded soft glass.
Would you mind sharing your kiln striking kiln temp/time?

Here is a piece I made with it. The base
was a coating of Momkas light purple haze fine frit on clear.

Hmm...Bonny, very nice vessel. Is the raised lines PCS?
About the strike time....My kiln runs hot... so keeping that in mind, I ran a 1080 soak for 30 minutes, down to 1050 to anneal and down. I've had good luck with kiln striking pinks with this schedule too. My favorite is extra light yellow over tequilla sunrise...encased. Thanks for the kind words.

Thanks Renee. The ribs are the PCS. I love the colors you got. I've got to try layering it as well. You really made the PCS sing. I hope they keep making it because it is really unique.

This is also what I have been getting - actually the yellows and the 1 and 2 o'clock hearts

I guess I was expecting a little different color based on the GA pic on ebay.
Nice glass but just not a color I would purchase again.

I have gotten some better results. Try backing it with a darker color. Also, I have found that if you burn off the haze, gather it, mix it up, and pull back into a rod you can get some richer colors.
