Concentrator
 I just bought a lynx and i am looking at this concentrator. Please let me know if it will be adequate. Product : M-15 Oxygen Concentrator
Part# : BTM-15
The Modified Oxygen Concentrator #15 is a 15 psi system that will save glass-artists a considerable amount of money by concentrating oxygen from the air into your torch. Instead of buying tanks of oxygen, simply plug the M-15 onto your torch, and it will EXTRACT OXYGEN STRAIGHT FROM THE AIR! Durable wheels provide excellent mobility. The M-15 has a Flow Setting = 1 - 15, Electrical requirements = 120V/60Hz 600 Watts
Oxygen Concentration = 92+- 4% @ 8 LPM
Weight = 60 lbs
Dimensions = 27in x 19 in x 13in
Operating pressure = 15 Psi
*DUE TO THIS PRODUCT'S WEIGHT / SIZE, AN INCREASED SHIPPING FEE MAY BE APPLIED. WE WILL NOTIFY YOU BY PHONE AND / OR EMAIL TO INFORM YOU OF ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES

I have a Lynx and used an EX-15, twin of the M-15, for 6-7 months. I could make marbles up to 1 1/4" ,and plenty of pendants. But what I could'nt do was get any colors out of some of the nice silver glass. Amber purple was amber when finished, not the awesone blues & purples that are lying in wait of release. I bit the bullet and went to bottled ox and my glass world changed overnight. The purity issue (90%+ - not much)will always be an issue,even hooking two units together will only give 12-15LPM @ the same purity (90%+-not much) , and at 15 PSI. It was painful to blow that much money and still arrive at the place I wanted to avoid (bottled gas,lugging tanks,etc.) But here I sit. I've heard the Regalea(?)will do it, but that runs over a grand. If you're going to be doing boro, you need to think hard on this. If soft glass is your thing,you could do it with the M-15. Do a search at the top of page for concentrator threads and read some opinions, get some info before committing your cash. Bottled sounds daunting at first as to moving tanks etc, but find out if you can get someone around you to help. It's doable.
good luck and keep your fingers out of the flame,
Kevin

Hi,
I have a Lynx on 2 EX-15 concentrators. I am starting boro and very happy so far. I do get colors from reactive glass. I am learning, so maybe not the best opinion but
I had a mega minor (Nortel) on one EX-15 and I could tell that I could have used more oxy and couldn't crank up enough oxygen to follow up with the propane. I felt I couldn't use the torch to it's full potential. With the Lynx, GTT and Unlimited Oxygen said I would do fine, and so far I think I do, when I tried cranking up the propane I always had oxygen to back it up... going farther feels scary at this point and I can melt boro no problem and get nice colors. I can't tell yet tough if it is totally full potential tough.
Good luck!!

I use a Lynx with a M-15. I like it so much I wouldn't consider either another torch or air source for soft glass and I'd recommend it to others.
My caveat is that I do not like it for boro; not the torch or the concentrator. But I have another setup for that and the majority of what I do is soft anyway.
