Default How much gunk in the hose?

How much gunk can be in the hose when you drain it? My hubby drained mine today and was shocked at how much stuff came out. It left a puddle about 4-5 inches around. It also had a couple of lil "ice cubes" come out, is that normal???

He is thinking it's not, that the propane is getting into the line and isn't safe. I have no idea what is normal, any help would be appreciated

I forgot to mention that I use a Hot Head.

I bought a brand new 7 gallon tank today and had it filled with propane that comes from natural gas (or something to that effect...I don't know the technical stuff, lol) they said it burns cleaner than oil based propane...or something to that effect as well .

I don't know if any of that matters or not?

I used Mapp when I was on an HH and typically had a little 2-3" puddle when I drained the hose each time I changed tanks. So it's not completely outrageous. Never had the ice cubes, though.

A lot may depend on age and condition of hose.........

I use bulk proplyene with my HotHead and when I drain it I get a 2-3" spot on the garage floor.
