Amber Rose?
I think I just blew through a rod of amber rose trying some new techniques. I didn't realize what it was until I was window shopping on Paula's (FlameDame's) site.
A while back I bought some really cheap glass to use as waste for murrini. The person I bought it from didn't have as much as she thought and I'd already paid so she just threw in everything she had left from her lampworking days. She said all of the glass was 104 and it was several years old. Anyway, one of the colors is a kind of salmon color that I have never seen before. I just put it in with the rest of my glass and forgot about it. Today I decided to try some brass mesh and thought that might be a neat color to try it on. It turned out to be an awesome color but I wasted a rod blowing bubbles. How do I find out what I really have before I waste it all?

So how do you know if she is blonde if she is bald?

Here is the picture of the rod next to other pinks. Far left is mystery color, next is pink #068, then rose quartz #067 and lastly rose #082.

I guess I should save it for special occasions and not use it for more experiments!

looks like amber rose to me too! drool. I that color. It's fabulous with a bit of silver....looks like warm tea....
(I can't do hollows, but I've *seen* simple, basic hollows made of it & they're just incredibly gorgeous--I love the color just used for simple designs...it's so pretty....)
*Naos* uses it etched...it's pretty that way too....I'm a purist though & love it "shiny"
