Default Cleaning my propane regulator

I could have SWORN I saw this mentioned somewhere around here but do you think I can find the thread now?

OK, I made a few (very few) beads yesterday and when I turned off the propane at the tank, the pressure needle didn't go down. So I turned off the T valve and disconnected the hose.

when I took the t-valve all the way out it looks a bit corroded. Will cleaning this with a brass brush fix my problem?

Probably... Usually a little discoloration is nothing to worry about....

And Yes there was a tread someplace about this....
