Have you rebooted your computer after the Quicktime installation?

(Thanks Marcie and Kimberly for making this podcast!)

You can also listen to it on iTunes. If you go to the iTunes Music Store, click on "Podcasts", search "Glasscaster", and then click on the "Glasscaster" title when it comes up. It will show as the first selection.

I think by Windows you mean you have Microsoft Internet Explorer. You might try downloading Firefox or Chrome.
Tillie you can download an app to your ipad that will play Quicktime, such as AVI HD.

Ok....I finally had the lightbulb come on and went to iTunes and downloaded the interview. As far as I can tell, there is no video...just audio, and she doesn't really tell HOW she makes her stupendous seahorses...just how to work some glass, and where she is and has been teaching. It was a good interview and I can use a lot the information she talked about on getting out of your comfort zone and just experimenting. Wish there had been some demo video, but alas, there was none.

Oh well, I have Kimberley's great tut on the seahorses in the Flow magazine. I just wanted to hear what she has to say about working silver glass.

It's an AUDIO interview, it's not video.

Can't Play Quicktime? I'll send you the file.
If you can't play Quicktime files, please email me at firelady@gate.net.
I can upload the file as an M-PEG4 or .wav file and send you the link, with a password that will be good for a week.
However, before we do this, let's try a workaround. I have another site which has often been helpful to folks who for whatever reason cannot play Quicktime or iTunes.
It's http://firelady.libsyn.com. No www. It's really the "Fail Safe" site for those who may not have success elsewhere. If you're having trouble listening, please go to this site and try playing a podcast. Please post if you succeed. If THIS is a viable solution for you, I'll upload Kim's podcast there.

Also, did you click on the little PLAY triangle on the lower left hand corner of the podcast at www.fireladyproductions.com?That's how you make it "go". But, of course, if you have nothing but a question mark showing that the Quicktime file is not present, that's something else again!!!!

You can ALSO get the Podcast at http://firelady.libsyn.com
The podcast has now also been uploaded to http://firelady.libsyn.com (no www.) It's not as pretty a site, but it typically handles you non-Quicktime folks.
You'll see the blue title: The Care and Feeding of Seahorses and Silver Colors, with Kimberly Affleck.
DON'T CLICK ON THIS, it does nothing. CLICK instead, on the grey POD icon immediately to the left of the title.
The file will begin to download. Have fun!

We never said that you told how to make a seahorse....you and I were talking about actual seahorses and their birthing and babysitting practices, had a bit of fun, talked about how your glass seahorses evolved, and then went nicely into specifics in silver colors. I think you sound great! Very articulate!

By the way, did they send you a copy of Glass Art Magazine, where the podcast excerpt is published? It's their November/December issue. If not, get me your mailing address and I'll make sure they send you one.

YES! In true Charlie and the Chocolate Factory/ Mike-TV style, we will divide Kimberly into millions of pieces, transmit her through the airwaves, and reconstruct her right there in your studio. However, if we keep to the movie theme, she may show up only 6" tall, in which case you'd have to get her on a very small torch.....

Lucio Bubacco & Emilio Santini Podcast Also Uploaded to Libsyn
You guys inspired me to catch up a little on Libsyn. I just uploaded The Invasion of the Italian Stallions/Part 2/Lucio Bubacco & Emilio Santini to the libsyn site. They are so incredibly funny! Anyway, same thing: go to http://firelady.libsyn.com without any www. and then you'll see it listed. Click on the grey POD icon to the left of the title and it should begin to immediately download.

You know, Kimberly, a seahorse tutorial/Powerpoint presentation with you narrating live would make one hell of a webinar. Want to give it a go? Got good still images of the process?

I also just uploaded "The Invasion of the Italian Stallions/ Cesare Toffolo to the http:firelady.libsyn.com site. I hadn't really been keeping up with that website, but now it's almost all up to date. I did edit the release dates to match their original launch into the world as seen at the primary www.fireladyproductions.com site. Anyway, both of these Italian interviews also have the fun of Emilio Santini acting as occasional translator. He's a hoot.....
