Default Graphite Lentil Press?

Does anyone sell a graphite lentil press? I did a search and found one by DK Tools, but that was a post on Wet Canvas back in 2004, and my searches for DK Lampworking Tools doesn't come up with anything useful.

Thanks!

Seems like a great idea. Maybe it would get better ends in theory. Maybe weaver would custom make one

Contact CG Beadrollers, forget her name right now. She might be able to help you.

The TP mashers (sold by Frantz, for one) have an option for a graphite lentil, I think. I'll check it.

Jaci, who is this "weaver" you speak of?

5betsy, I was thinking of Donna (?) at CGBeads too. I'll send her a PM and see what she says.

Glowbead, thanks for the info, I'll call Frantz and see if they can offer suggestions.

I have this one from Arrow Springs. I use it more for a shaping tool but it works for lentils. It's call the "Osibin Lentil Shaper." Their site seems to be down right now but try later. www.arrowsprings.com .

Thanks Diane! I found it! The Osibin Lentil Shaper looks interesting. I wonder how well it works.

I love my Osibin lentil shaper for shaping lentils and so much more! Perfect for making barrels, cabachons, everything! It's always on my bench when I'm working.

Weaver industries
http://www.weaverind.com/
They have an entire section for lampworkers. They will make custom items as well. Depending on the size you may just want one side to flip back and fourth as well. Anything more than 1in I use a graphite paddle the obsidian lentil shaper from arrow springs (of course you can get similar and more sizes elsewhere)

Thanks Jaci! The idea of custom graphite molds is intriguing. I'll definitely give them a look-see.

I really like the Osibin. Very quick learning curve and makes so many different shapes possible.
