Default Wale Firebird

I have seen a few Wale Firebird torches for sale recently. My impression is that these torches are very good but haven't been manufactured for a few years. Is this the opinion of fine seasoned torch people? anybody have any info on why the "new old stock" torches have surfaced?

Default Wale Firebird

Perhaps they stopped selling them because it was a ripoff of a GTT design. They look like a Bobcat and I think there was some legal stuff brought up with GTT. In any case I never saw any more of the torch line that Wale promised to follow the Firebird.
Good luck

I have a brand new Wale Firebird that I never did fire up. I'd be happy to sell it for $175...

I'm local to Wale. They've released a few torches since the Firebird.

Wonder why none of their own brand is on their site. Did they give up manufacturing torches?

Cori, what is your oxygen setup? I have one oxycon and a Cricket, which is supposed to do really well with boro on one concentrator, but it still seems to take forever.

I have an EX-15 oxycon. It works great! I have used tanked oxy and like it better, but oxy is expensive here ($70 a fill) and I hate budgeting torch time.

Hmm... I'm not sure why they don't have any on their site. They have them in the shop in Hellertown, PA. The newest is the Comet.
