From earring display to tool rack
I needed a tool rack for a small area and came up with this idea using an extra display rack I had.
It works great and keeps everything I need for my jewelry creations right in front of me.
Sometimes you just have to work with what ya got.

I have magnetic strips that work awesome. I have very limited space in my studio and the magnetic strips save me so much space. They are only like $5 from harbor freight.
I have an old pampered chef lazy Susan utensil holder that I use for stringer. That works pretty well. To be honest, I would love to use that earring display on my kitchen counter for measuring cups & spoons. It's actually something I have been looking for. Hmmmm.....
I love using stuff for other than it's intended purpose.

Here ya go! Tons of pages of these to choose from.
The problem with magnectic strips is they need to be put on something metal to work and all I had was about 10 square inches of table top.

Thank you for the link, this is such a great price, and such a nice looking stand too. I'm saving it to my favorites.

You're very welcome Brendah.
I should probably hang some beads on it to dress it up??!

Hey laura, Don't be envious of my cheapo pliers!! I bought those mostly from Wal-mart, Michaels and Harbor Freight when I first started making jewelry and now I really need the better ones from Rio Grande.
I didn't know about soft, medium and hard wires and I didn't know about different gauges and I didn't know about hardened edges on pliers and that the cheap ones don't have any..LOL
I will make do with these until I can afford the better ones.

I have the magnetic strips that screw into... Well, whatever you have around. I have a hutch and it screws onto one of the shelves.

Lorraine, that's a great idea !
I picked up several of these several years ago. Suppose to hold the larger kitchen utensils. Works great for jewelry tools AND I have one on my bead making table loaded with those tools. They do spin.
