the reason i asked is, i'm going to sooner or later give it a go. it's going to be a few years before i feel i'm ready to produce saleable marbles, and i'm going to not quit my day job until it's proven itself to be possible lol.
just the possibility that i may even be able to supplement my income with hot glass work is extremely inspiring.

What kind of corks do you use? I've been looking for a replacement for the stainless steel ones I've used in the past. They're expensive and I have to glue to marble on.

The corks I used are a food grade #2 with hole. Do a google search for a #2 stopper with hole and you should be able to find some at beer brewing places. They cost anywhere from 30 cents to 75 cents depending on the supplier.
