New Bullseye Odd-Lots!
We just got in a bunch of new special production colors... and none of these are "blah"!
The new colors are:
Serena's Blend II (More opaque than the original, and very very beautiful)
Cinnabar II (Darker in the rod, seems to work up the same as old Cinnabar)
Forget-Me-Not (A gorgeous blue, seems to work up a bit streaky)
Moody Mauve (Looked boring at first, la-de-da another transparent purple, but it strikes to translucent in the flame!)
Hawaiian Punch (Stunning transparent fuchsia)
Foliage (marvelous rich streaky greens)
And we still have a tiny bit of "It's a Girl" left.

I'll post pics tomorrow!

Some of those are really pretty! I'm not ready to try the Bullseye, but I just sent you an order for some Spectrum clear. I really am looking forward to encasing some raku.

My rep did some research..
It's a girl and Foliage never were released to the "public" of buyers.. It was released ONLY to the retail store because there wasn't that "much" of it supposedly.. I am totally NOT happy..

Hi guys! Yes, It's a Girl and Foliage were very small runs, which I didn't find out myself until I tried to re-order! One of the perks of picking up this glass in person is that if I get there at the right time, I can end up with "little batch" colors - some of them are only ten pounds, like "It's a Girl". I picked up a few pounds of it, and when I tried to get more, I found out there IS no more. They don't put these tiny batches on their main "list" because there's so little that this exact situation will happen no matter what; it will sell out fast and everyone who doesn't get it will be mad. In fact, there will be a lot more mad people, because everyone who orders by mail will know they missed out. So they just put it in the retail store. If it's on the shelf when I walk in, I get some. If not, I never even know it existed.
Sugar Daddy and Ivy are sold out as well, but if they managed to do Sugar Daddy twice, they might manage to do it again! In the meantime I'll continue trying to be on top of the latest special production batches.

Hey Kalera,
I love your selection of odd-lots!!!! Will you ever be able to get any more of the Cornflower blue rods? I just love those, with their gnarly bit of aventurine like metal. Should have ordered more in the first place!

Hey Kalera,
I'm going to have to start checking your site everyday. My Bullseye is quickly catching up to my 104 COE glass. The colors had me hooked the first time I tried it!

I know Bullseye does't have any more Cornflower, but it was such a gorgeous color - maybe if a few people suggest to them that they try to reproduce it, they will? That's worked for cetrain other colors, like the Creme Brulee. They never have managed to get it quite the same, but they have done several batches that were creamy and caramelly in the attempt. I'll mention it next time I'm in! There were two batches of Sugar Daddy, and two batches of Grape Gonzo, so they seem really open to suggestion. That's actually one of the things I love about Bullseye, they really do listen!
Last time I was in I was talking to them about the small-batch colors, and what I found out is that they're actually end-runs for the larger batches... when the pot gets down to the last ten pounds or so, the color isn't as consistent, so they can't sell it under the same name as the rest of the batch. I think It's a Girl was an end-pull of Petal Pink. I can't figure out what Foliage was an end-pull of, though. There are probably hundreds of other small-runs no one knows about except the first five people in the store the day they put them on the shelf!

Hey Kalara - I keep telling any rep that will listen that they need to find the recipe for Orange Marmalade again - they just laugh at me. You want to throw that out at them next time you're in there?
thanks!!

Hi All,
Some info on the odd-lots: Sometimes they are made at the end of a run of a standard style, but typically is not because the color is off. Most of the time it is based on what we have available in other furnaces and what we think will look nice. Many odd-lots are full production runs, like Sugar Daddy,Robin's Egg and Yellow Ochre(which will most likely become part of the product line). We are looking at doing less of the small odd lot runs(less than 40 lbs and only sold in the BE store) and more of the larger batches that are released the first Thursday of the month.
I will look at making more Cornflower but that one was a fairly involved formula/process....
and Orange Marmalade.

My favorites are Serena's blend 1 (the purpler, more opaque one), sparkling celery, pearly pink (or swirly), caramel and geko. so far.

Do you think that Pearly Pink or Blue-Green Algae will ever be re-released? Both of those were gorgeous.
Kalera, consider yourself gently, friendly-like smacked for getting me hooked !!

Pearly Pink is a possibility. This was a blend of transparent ruby and opal white. We make another version of this on occasion called Raspberry Cream.
Blue Green Algea, like Cornflower was a difficult one to make because it consists of glasses that aren't even in the Bullseye sheet glass palette. I can look at trying to make some of these colors in hopes of recreating BGA, Cornflower, Marine Sparkle...
Thanks,
Greg

Greg...
Do you think Antique White has the possibility of becoming a regular production color? So far it seems the closest BE has to an Ivory... A dark Ivory would be cool also. I could go on and on... like Ivy, and Latte, and Agate... all of which I've missed on the recent runs. boo hoo
I also appreciate that you're listening in and responding to our fervent desires.

It's certainly a possibility.
We have been doing a lot of experimental runs of opal glasses in the ivory family.
Creme Brule, Latte, Antique White, Nougat, Amber Surprise, and I haven't figured out what to call today's run yet. But I would love to get more feedback from anyone who has used Antique White or Nougat. Thanks. gg

Today's run? You're killing me here.
I like the antique white too, didn't get any nougat. I love how reactive the ochre is, and haven't pulled as much of that out of the antique white.
I'm also wild about the lemon lime, gecko, raspberry cream and blue-green algae.
