Default Mica Flakes...Have you used them?

Hi Gang. I just bought some Mica Flakes to try out and I am not sure I am very impressed with the results. The big problem using them is that they do not seem to adheare to the glass very well and then when you encase...BUBBLES! Has anyone tried them yet? and if you had good results can you share your tips?

Thanks!
-Mary

I played around with them a bit about a year and a half ago and got pretty much the same results as you. It's still in the cabinet and eventually I'll get around to trying it again. I suspect that I got the bits too hot after I finally adhered them to the glass and encased. It is, after all, a hydrated silica,so lots of heat will break it up and give you bubbles (but we know that now).
