Default Bullseye Opq. Primary Colors.... How to make them look organic??

OK.. I just got the Stocking order from Bullseye and I loath Opaque Red, Yellow, Orange and Bright Neon Green... I dont want to waste the glass.. so what can I do to make it take on an organic feel without being ... well.. Bright? heh

I don't know about making them organic, but the orange is the best orange pumpkin color! Watch out, it turns a bit grey in the flame, work it far out in the flame.

Perhaps some silvered french vanilla will tone them down and help them look "organic."

In the Spotlight on Silver booklet there is a recipe for Reptile beads using BE...

I made these following the recipe...

You might be able to do the same type of bead with different base colors...
I haven't tried it but it may work...

Hi Nicole!

Here's some I made with the opaque spring green as a base, and the frits were a mix I made up of transparent forest green #1, transparent olive green #0, and a khaki color (olive brown #1). I looooove this mix over this green and Effetre pea green!

Here's an old pic, but I made some new ones the other night with a gravity swirl. I'll post the picture of those later!

Hmmmm Nicole....seems we have opposite problems! I don't "do organic" and gravitate to the brights. I'll take an inventory some time this week of the colors I have that are gathering dust (Moretti, Lauscha, Vetro, and BE)...maybe we can work a trade-sie because I LOVE the bright lime BE!!!!

I love the brights too! you can mix the green with other greens to make a nice cane. I like mixing the bright green with one of the sparklies, makes for a nice vine. You could encase the orange/red with something to tone it down? maybe amber? Or you could just send them to me, as I absolutely love the brightest of bright colors.

Here's the ones made with Effetre pea green and that same frit mix. I like these with the gravity swirl, but I can't wait to get my hands on more of the BE spring green for this frit. Plus, I have a new idea: A splash here and there of the sparkly aventurine green over the other stuff! I did this with a large lentil shaped bead, but I can't find that one to take a picture of it.
