Default New torch

I'm not sure if this should go here or under torch questions. I'm moving from a HH to a Lynx. The gas guy is coming next Friday to run a gas line into the garage and I can hook up my big girl torch and burn burn burn! My question: I know many people have gone from a HH to a Lynx. Any pointers? Anything that took you weeks to learn that you thought "I wish I knew that when I started!" I know I am in for a learning curve, I have worked on a minor, about a year ago. I learned on a minor and had to switch to a HH - financial reasons. Any tips will be appreciated!

When I went to a Lynx it was from a minor. I found the Lynx to have a narrower more intense flame, so I had to make allowances for that. Had to make sure that the whole bead stayed warm. With a bushier flame the ambient heat seemed to take care of that without having to be as conscious of it. You can get an incredibly tiny pointed flame from the third knob for detail work. Other than that I didn't have too much problem with switching to the Lynx. I've never used a hot head, so can't comment on that. Have fun with it.
