Default Argh I cannot find the thread!

There was a thread not too long ago about a graphite marver that was shaped with a notch in it so you could hold it right next to your bead to shape the sides (I think it was Andrea Guarino?) but I can't find it. Can anyone point me to where these are sold?

Dawn,

There is a graphite marver on this website, slightly different from Andrea's, but it has the notch in it.

http://www.generationsglass.com/Graphite_Tools.html

Hope this helps!

Cheers
Kathy

If you want something that's perfect for straightening bead ends, find yourself a notched-tip cheese knife. I found it at the flea market and I love it! Here's a picture of one:

Anytime Dawn!

Char, that cheese knife looks like just the ticket for bead straightening! Now I'll be scouring the flea markets (and maybe the kitchen stores) for new tools!

Cheers

Char, that was my suggestion!! I love my chees knife, and it is also really easy to file a graphite, I used a nail file to file my notch in mine. But it is messy and vey fine dust so wear a face mask.
