This is a gorgeous colour--but I have had trouble getting it to strike to that luscious coral-tangerine. I am on a HH. Does this like low heat = no burning the colour out of it, or higher heat to get it to strike, or ... ? Thanks in advance!

I've never been able to work this color but I watched my friend Gail from Pickadilly Beads strike it one time. She made her bead (she doesn't work hot so I don't know if this will burn out the color or not) and then she cooled it a bit and wafted it in and out of the flame until it struck to the color she wanted.

what dawn said plus just a comment.. Make sure you strike your entire bead with it. I have found since its a finicky color, if you don't rehit it with the heat on all sides, half your bead will be the pretty tangerine color and the other half or side will be the champagne color.

Thank you! I will try that this afternoon. The champagne is lovely, but I really wanted that persimmon striking-shade.

I would do a search here.
Someone posted some directions a while back about how to strike it.
I have had trouble with this glass also and haven't had any luck with it.
