Question HOW TO: Program Kiln (System 96 Hot Start!

Does anyone out there use the Hot Start Kiln for System 96 Glass??? For the life of me I can't figure out how to do anything other than the 3 factory settings it came with. Maybe they forgot to send me the info how to program the *&&^&^%$%$ thing for annealing boro beads and small to medium ornaments; or for annealing my moretti beads. I am pretty "Anneal Challanged" so anyone who could WALK ME THROUGH THIS would be put on my hall of shame I MEAN MY HALL OF FAME!!!
Thanks so much!!
Peggy

I suggest you contact Skutt. It's my understanding that the Hot Start can only anneal in the factory settings.
This is a good starter kiln for fusing & slumping (although having side elements would have been a huge improvement) but it's really unsuitable for annealing beads.

Default System 96 Kiln Manual indicates "it can be done" BUT...

Thanks for your quick reply Dennis, I really appreciate it, and it sounds like you really know your business about this stuff..... BUT...
in my manual - it does indicate that these settings can be changed to suite whatever need you have, BUT THEN EVERYTHING GETS REALLY COMPLICATED (FOR ME - I'M SURE MOST OF YOU OUT THERE ARE WONDERING WHY THE HELL I CAN'T READ AND UNDERSTAND THE MOST SIMPLE AND BASIC INSTRUCTIONS...AND PROBBLY WONDER HOW MANY TIMES I'VE BURNED DOWN THE HOUSE( DOES ALMOST ONCE COUNT?), BEEN TO THE "ER" FOR MAJOR AND MINOR BURNS (ONLY ONCE! BUT IT WAS A WORTHWHILE TRIP - IF I'M GONNA DO IT, I MAKE IT WORTHWHILE - 3rd DEGREE!! ENTIRE RIGHT THUMB!! AT LEAST AT THAT DEGREE - YOU DON'T HAVE ANY PAIN B/C YOU'VE BURNED AWAY ALL THE NERVES!)
OOPS...THERE I GO... GETTING OFF THE BEATEN PATH AGAIN!! (NOW YOU UNDERSTAND WHY I CAN'T UNDERSTAND THE MANUAL!!)
Anyone else out there able to explain this Annealing on a System 96 Kiln to me (in "Fun With Dick & Jane" Language, of course!) ????
I'm only asking because....My Chile Pepper broke (after less than a year!! ) (Could that be as minor as a thermal coupler? ANYONE KNOW ABOUT THAT??? Just hoping I could use one of the kilns I already have....I'm still hurting from the expense of the Chilli Pepper. I got it here from someone who happened to have 2.... I think she ended up getting one for a gift at the same time she was awaiting delivery of one she purchased...Lets not even go to that place called "Didn't you send in your warranty card?" If there even was one, I DID NOT!!
PLEASE HELP!!!
Thanks AGAIN!!
Peggy
