Chili Pepper Kiln not heating - ACK!!??
OK - 6-8 weeks ago I turned on my kiln and it went through the opening bleeps and I checked the program and pressed start. The green light clicked and nothing. Never got any hotter. I called the manufacturer, the people I got it from , and a friend to gripe. When I went back and plugged everything in and tried again - it worked. So when they wrote back, everything was fine.
Now - almost 3 weeks not being able to torch - first weekend off since March - I clean shed, arrange glass - turn on kiln. Program reviews fine - comes up start - I press start and it clicks. Clicks a few more times, occasionally, but never gets any hotter. Temps go from 74-76. I've unplugged, tried different routine, wiggled things, held my mouth weird, no difference. I guess I do need to know what it is - especially as the kiln just fell out of warrenty (of course). Maybe by posting here, it will work fine when I go back out and make me feel stoopid again?
Any suggestions? Comments? It's a Chili Pepper Kiln with an Orton controller.
