Default O2 and Propane setup

Finally hooked up my lines--have flashbacks attached too. Now I am timid about turning nozzles on.....

I guess the black thing that turns on front of the regulators is what I will use to regulate the pressure--so I guess I get them turned tight so no pressure goes through first?

I figured to make sure the dials on the torch are closed.

So do I turn on them in a particular order? Am I right about how to set pressure?

Thanx--don't want a fire to start things out--lol

NO NO NO NO NO........

They should be all the way LOOSE..... All the way counter-clockwise. (left)...

Turning them clockwise (to right) all the way turns them on FULLY... It also may damage them by doing this... They should be backed off till you can feel no tension on adjuster (knob or "T" bar) almost to point they fall out of regulator body...

Here is documentation on use and care of regulators you should read up on before trying to use....

After turning on tanks, open torch valves (one at time) and then adjust regulator (one at time) to desired pressure, once you have settings on regulators done, you can open up torch valves and fire off torch and adjust torch "settings"....

Don't know what torch you have but you may want to set fuel at 5-7 psi and oxygen at 10-12 psi... This is usually a good starting place. You may want to fine tune setting later.
