Silver pink is one of those colors that likes lots of heating, cooling and other colors to play with. Some people can make it sing, I'm not one of them. I will tell you I can't get it to look pink or silver. But, I do like using it as a base for designing. It is a very pretty ivory that doesn't streak.

I find it to be one of my most used colors...like Suzy said, it's a marvelous creamy/ivory base that doesn't streak or react like ivory. So I can use frits without having the bead turn brown/black/icky. Once in a great while there might be a shade of pink coming through, but only by accident. If I want pink, I use something else, hehe!

I have some of that stuff. I tried it, it turned white on me. I'm sure I overheated it. I haven't touched it since. How does it react to silver? Anybody have any pictures? I'd pull it out again if I thought it would be useful! LOL

Wanted to say that I'm sure it's useful to a ton of you out there but right now it's not to me and I was glad to see this post. After all, what I have sitting there is already paid for, might was well use it!

So, then, we wouldn't necessarily get a 'silvered' pink in a reduction flame, like you would with silver plum- but it is more like an ivory that doesn't react??? or it is a great base to put reactive elements onto? can you get certain effects- color change or metallic sheen simply by heating and cooling?
Those of you who love it- what do you think it is best used as? base? stringer decoration? a component of a reactive twistie?
I just "scored" a half pound, based on some ohh ahh sounds in show and tell with opal yellow, which I also was able to get- so I am looking for the best way to express its inner beauty... It pretty much didn't do anything last night, even with some dots of intense black on top. Maybe I didn't burn it enough...
