I have been wanting to take a class there. I think Debbie Pierce did. I've heard really good things from another lamp-worker who went there and said it was great because the prices are really good and the instructors are awesome.
I also know someone who has taken 2 levels of fusing and was very impressed. Another took metal work classes and again thought it was fantastic. Pretty sure someone else did a making cabachons class at Holland and loved it too!
Personally I would love to go and spend a week doing nothing but glass. No inturruptions, phones, chores, etc.
In fact I'm going to at least take a peek at it. It's not that far from me.
Thanks for the heads up! Who's teaching? Are there many openings left? If you can PM me with any details I would really appriciate it!

Bek - they're talking about the William Holland School of Lapidary Art in Young-Harris, GA.
The school offers classes in all kinds of lapidary stuff, metalworking as well as some beading and lampworking.

Jackie Knabel teaches beginning lampwork there....and she's a fabulous teacher....covers everything.

And....wire wrapping taught by Bobbie Brown is a marvelous class. Bobbie is an experienced teacher with a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. (She taught at our shows for several years and is a good friend!)
