Dichroic Question
If I wanted to try some dichrioc glass in some of my beads, what do I use and where do I get it? I use moretti and Lausha. I have used some dichroic sheet glass before when I have fused(long time ago) but I fused with Bullseye.Does Dichroic have different coe's? Also, would I buy it in rod form? Or does it matter?
Anyone?
Thanks
Cyndi

Yes, it does. You must likely have 90 COE dichroic from fusing, so you can use it with Bullseye. As for using it for beads, just cut it into strips. I also slump mine to round out the edges and 'bake' the coating. This reduces scumming. Put the dichro in the kiln coating side down. "Baking' it also makes it really clear which is the coated side.

Thanks Debbie!
So to use Dichroic with Moretti I'll have to get some 104 coe. right?
Do you know where I can get this?

Yes. The major vendors sell it - most sell it pre-fused and already cut. You can buy it more cheaply in quarter sheets from Carol Fonda. I think her site is www.dichroic-glass.com. I know that CBS now has an on-line store. I would have to look to see if they sell less than a sheet. I used to go there and pick up broken sheets. I miss being able to do that.
