Default CiM Gelly pink and Rose Quartz

I got some of both Rose Quartz and Gelly pink last summer. I'm starting to think my Gelly pink was mislabled. It looks almost exactly like the Rose Quartz. I made a wigwag with both glasses and it looks like I only used color. Is the Gelly pink much different form the Rose Quartz?

rose quartz is slightly translucent or transparent in the rod (usually transparent). Gelly's sty is opaque. You can work rose quartz to make it anywhere from transparent to translucent to opaque, and it looks a lot like Gelly's sty, to me, when it's opaque.

So Gelly pink isn't really a piggy pink? It's light? I love the Rose Quartz I've got a few different shades out of it depending on how I "strike" it.

Gelly's is a nice piggy pink, I think....it's just opaque. And rose quartz isn't, unless you strike it opaque

My rose quartz rods are not transparent. I guess you could say they are translucent. But I have always made my rose quartz beads opaque never transparent. But my gelly pink is looking like the same color.

My last buy of rose quartz looked exactly like my Gelly's Sty once melted. I think it varies depending on what part of the pull it is from.
