Default PURITAN BENNETT Companion 590 Oxygen Concentrator

Not really sure where I should ask about this....but does anyone know about this Oxycon? Would it be good for my minor?

Here are the specs the person has posted:

OCI - Oxygen Concentration Indicator
Flow adjustable in 1/2 liter increments to 5 LPM.
Pressure based system automatically adjusts valve cycle time.
Extensive alarm and safety system protects patients.

OXYGEN OUTPUT:
1 - 4 LPM - 95% +/- 3%
5 LPM -
DIMENSIONS: 25.4"H x 12.5"W x 16.5"D

Flow adjustable in 1/2 liter increments to 5 LPM
Extensive alarm and safety system

He says it only has 2400 hours and was used for about four months total as a backup for his MIL.

Thanks for the help.

I have that oxy con and got it when it was very used and it still works like a charm. I'm using it with a minor and I haven't had any problems.

Same here. Never had a problem, um except for the time it was operator error (we won't go into that here! ). I have a minor, also.

Last year I switched to an M-15 to have more power for boro, but before that I used the same model for several years. It's a workhorse. I can't bring myself to sell my old one so I'm keeping it as backup. When I needed replacement filters, I purchased them off ebay.

If you want a bit more power, you can add a 7lb holding tank. There are directions on how to build one on LE and I think the supplies only cost around $20. When the machine "breathes" the holding tank keeps the pressure to the torch steady. I found the tank worked really well with this oxycon.
