Default New COOL colors from Effetre

Hello from Murano. I am really excited about the new COOL colors from Effetre! First of all they are beautiful and not shocky! Now that is a good start!

As of today there are sixteen COOL colors and I may get three more by the end of this week. At that point Effetre will stop producing the COOL colors and we will ship some by air and some by sea back to Shelton Washington.

Some of the best ones are the last three and who knows what the next few days will bring us?

On Saturday Patricia Frantz will be flying back to Seattle and on Monday we will start testing the colors and then post the results and some great pictures. We are naming these colors, and how does Tuxedo sound? How about Fossil? Mr. Mustard is a possiblity as well!

These colors are limited and the quantities produced range from 200 to 1400 pounds.

Here are some other colors that we have coming soon:

Kiwi
Blue Lagoon
Orange African Daisy
Strawberry Shake
Cherry Shake

And well, one of these reminds me of Streaky Pink!

I know you want photos and you want more information. That will be happening within two weeks. On Monday I will get a total inventory accounting of how many pounds I am getting for each color.

I am also sending back some memory chips from my camera and Keith will get get them online as soon as possible.

A far as Vetrofond is concerned, well they are making me a good amount of struck Rubino Oro. They will begin producing some new ODD colors within the next month.

Ciao

Mike

Hey Mike - Shouldn't that be Colonel Mustard? In the studio? With a flamethrower?

Perhaps I missed this somewhere in another thread, but my question is, are these new COOL colors a 'one time only' (odd?) run, or are they going to be added to the regular Effetre production so we can continue to order them and expand our color pallette beyond the limited 'odd' batch here and there?? Thanks Mike!

Default Limited COOL colors

Effetre had found a small gap in production where they would make me around twenty new colors withon a one month period when one of their machines could be used for glass other than normal production.

So to answer your question, no these colors will not be added to the Effetre normal color production.

The last of these COOL colors will be produced this Friday and by Monday I will have a list of the colors and how much is available. In a week or two we will have names, stock numbers, prices and any other information about these colors avaible and shortly soon after we can take preorders for these colors.

I am sure that between LE and the Frantznewsletter and our website, the information will be posted for you,.

Default Do Not Be Sad

Repeating the same COOL colors, well I think they can do it, but there could be some very slight veriations, just like other colors. I will have alot of the colors, so just enjoy

Mike,

How do you work the cool colors? I was in a Trey Cornette class yesterday and used Cherry Shake cool on a long tube bead. When it went into the kiln, I had no pink at all showing... not sure if I cooked it out or it will kiln stike or what. Also have NOT seen my final results ... am heading back to Rockland to pick up my babies this afternoon.

Sonje (Moonlight Creations) called me to say my beads are beautiful but no comments on my colors of the cherry shake.

What's the best way to work the colors?

Btw, Trey used a blueberry marble I gave him for one of our demo beads in class. Holy cow, what a beautiful color he got out of that!

Thanks for the hints and tips!

Sue
