Could this be a boro marble?
I have of late become addicted to my Nintendo DS. A new game I am playing is Cakemania2.
I was so surprised to see what looks like a photo of a dichroic marble in 2 of the story cards....take a look--whaddya think? I hope the artist got credit-- that would be cool!

Delta Mag if I remember correctly. Big honkin' piece of kit that had two foot pedals hooked to it.
This is the artist, Scott Pernika
He brought some up with him and most of what he had was in the 3-4" range. However he had 2-3 6" marbles with him; they were easily the size of softballs.

These he had individually boxed. The 3" ones he had several in a suitcase with egg crate foam.

hi Kathy!!
I can't even imagine the arm muscles involved with holding a 6" marble on a punty(even with rollers) let alone it falling off the punty! Gak!! LOL!!!

This is one of my employers (Ben Birney/Global Glassworks) pieces he calls "Starry Night Marbles", this particular one is 5" wide and 7" tall. Watching him do these is insane, and he has one of those delta mags with the 2 pedals, the 2nd outer is effn nuts, I could barely stand being 3 ft away on the other torch, I can't even imagine how dehydrated he gets on one of these... They are around $1200 a piece i believe.. and yes, thats spun dichro on the front, and a dot implosion on the back... crazy town.
