Default Oxy con - mismatched specs Q

Hello,

I have a Devilbiss MC-64 and need to get another oxy con so I can run my barracuda. Do I need to buy another MC-64, or does it matter?

I was reading the other oxy con thread and had the sense that the mismatch might screw up the output.

Or should I just bite the bullet and buy a generator, so we both can be on the torch at the same time?

You can keep the output to within a couple of pounds and still get good results.

Two 5 LPM concentrators or a single 10 LPM machine will provide about 1/2 of what the Barracuda needs to run the maximum flame before distortion. If you decide to get a generator, if the pressure output is close, you could even add the DeVilbiss you have to it and get even more flow if you need it.

I have two M-15s for my Barracuda and it works beautifully. I have used tanked and liquid oxygen and the two M-15 power my Cuda only little less than those, not even noticeable unless I am making huge canes on soda lime glass or melting big rods of boro.
