I am on Spring Break right now and my goal is to make a successful inside out bead by the end. I have been improving over the past few days, but I still have a ways to go. Here are pictures from each day showing my progress.

I am getting better, but not perfect. Hopefully I will be able to make a perfect one by day ten!

How sad is it that I want the complete failure? Great improvement!

LOL, thank you for the comments! Here are more! I attempted a honey comb bead, but I didn't blown it thin enough initially and then it turned wonky on me :doubt:. Oh well, the green/blue one in the front-middle turned out perfect! I got a nice shipment of tubing in today...I'll be busy!

What size tubing are you using to learn on?

I think it is 16mm and 25.6mm. The 25.6mm is slow melting on my GTT Cheetah, lol.

Your beads are looking great! Are you turning the tubing inside out by cutting it or by coaxing?

Heat it up, and either flare it open with a graphite reamer, or blow into a bubble first, pop a small hole, get it hot, and spin it. Either way it will open up like a funnel. Draw your design inside, then close it back up and shape it up.

Not nearly as easy as it sounds...

Yeah - not nearly. :)

Thanks Cosmo. No, I don't imagine it could be. Especially for me, since I have done almost nothing with tubing.

Ok, thanks to you guys I am almost ready to start. Of course I bought tubing before I saw a video on how it is done. What size small tubing do you use for the cold seal, and where do you get reamers like that?

I tried doing one of these yesterday after reading Aaron's description of how they are made. Talk about wonky! This one is 3" long, and I am thinking that maybe I should try and get it hot again and even it out. My question is, how do I make it into shorter beads once I do that? I like the colors so I would like to be able to salvage it if possible. I am finding it very challenging working with tubing...it just won't do what I want it to. Can anyone recommend a class on tubing where I can learn the basics?
